Selenocosmia mating
Selenocosmia stirlingi males come out to mate after summer rain in the
dry interior of Australia. Shown here caressing a female at her burrow
entrance. This spider, Australia's answer to the 'Tarantula', lives in
a burrow large enough for a 35 mm film canister to fall down.
